Kids’ Bedroom Upgrade: A Fun, Functional, and Cosy Retreat

The kids’ bedroom upgrade is officially finished, and I am so in love with the wall paint colours and bedding combo! It’s incredible to see how a few thoughtful changes can create such a warm and inviting space for our little ones. Now, my 5 year old is all set to move into his upstairs little nook — a perfect new space just for him.

The process was so much fun, especially involving the kids! The bedroom paint job was a perfect opportunity to get them involved. Watching my 5-year-old apprentice learn woodwork and help pick the paint colour was priceless. They helped choose the shades, and I am obsessed with the result! We used Coatpaints for their beautiful, pigmented, non-toxic colours — perfect for little ones’ bedrooms.

We painted the walls with shades from Tuesday child, a gracefully light greige with subtle green undertones, which brought warmth and vibrancy to the space. The woodwork was painted with Hello Vera, a pale but warm green. Familiar and comforting but still refreshing adding crisp, clean lines that help define the room beautifully.

The highlight is the custom bunk bed we built together, creating a fun and practical space that maximises the room’s potential. It’s perfect for the shared room, fostering both independence and sibling bonding.

To finish the look, we chose bedding from Soak & Sleep. The White/Blackberry Pinstripe Linen & Cotton blend adds a touch of elegance, while the Lemon Yellow French Linen Pillowcase injects a cheerful pop of colour, making the bed inviting and cozy.

This project was very special for us. I truly believe in making your home a reflection of love and personality, so I wanted this room to be just that. We Made it special and ours by using these lovely prints by Enikő Eged named Cuddles and Les Oiseaux by Matías Larraín.
