Christmas table setting Workshop

We are finishing the year with our final workshop, Christmas special table setting at the beautiful Fritz Hansen showroom in the heart of London.

With textile designer Ashley McDow from Occipinti, and florist Tom from Agent F we created lush center pieces to compose a stunning focus point for your Christmas tables.

Using foliages, herbs, succulents and hint of gold sprayed leaves, this was the perfect combo for a modern yet very traditional looking centrepieces. The fragrances of all the greenery is the best way to bring the Christmas spirit in the home.

We had the pleasure to enjoyed Skandium fabulous Glogg and some delicious Skandi treats!

When you dress your table for any special occasion think first about your layout. Long centrepieces or table runner works very well on rectangular tables, as ring arrangements, like candles holders will fit perfectly round tables. Using different height will also create a dynamic visual effect.

Like your entire Christmas decorations, I highly recommended you keep your table design to a maximum of three colours. We stick to our Green, White and brushed Gold winter theme. Green is a great way to add fresh vibrant energy into your Home and Gold is a timeless elegant touch wich you can use every year for Christmas.

After a nurturing break with the vibrant food from Nojo all natural gluten free crepes and vegan cakes from Cake and Cucumber we started our second activity with simple name tags and napkins arrangements. We demonstrated a few options with foliage, ribbons, and leathers.

The most important advice is to pick a theme a create a fun experience for your host. Using Crackers and personalised decorations make your guest feel unique.

For more information you can download my MK Design Christmas Tips to create the perfect Christmas.

My all time favourite this year is a DIY name tag, using a small pebble made out of clay with the initial letter of your guest. This can be placed on the table next to each glass.

Fritz Hansen showroom was the perfect space to host this event, and their beautiful floating fireplace made it so special!
