DESCRIPTION

For this makeover, we created a modern Parisienne style along with some traditional design elements and storyteller accessories. It was about creating an elegant yet fresh and fun space for a young couple, reflecting their personalities and past. The apartment offers a large double living space. We decided to paint the two opposite walls with differents colours to help define the dining and sitting area and create contrasting ambiance. In the dining room, we selected a Vintage Green E155. This colour was the ideal colour to refresh and energise the space. It also creates an illusion of outdoor inside with underlying of blue tone which reminds us of nature. This high pigmented hue changes with the lighting offering different ambiances during the day and warm earthy tones during the evening with artificial lighting. It ticked all the client’s requests. In the lounge, we choose a rich warm grey E99 to intensify the coziness of the space. We enhanced the look of the original art deco fireplace with a frameless angle-cut beveled mirror.We used tall lighting to showcase the different pigmented shades of Mineral Paint Maker colors.

We also used tall lighting effects to showcase the different pigmented shades of the paint and copper accessories for an urban modern style.

Finally, the last room which needed my attention was the bedroom, which was very white and plain. We painted an oversized blue headboard with floating wooden frames. Rich deep blue is a perfect colour for the bedroom, it is a calm soothing colour which enhances sleeping but also acts as a statement colour for a luxurious elegant cozy room. It is chic, powerful and happy! Blue is very versatile. It can easily be contrasted with black and white for a sophisticated look; gold for a touch a luxury or wood for a more Scandinavian style.
